Gary Hink is an independent scholar (Ph.D. English, University of Florida), researching digital rhetoric, new media, participatory culture, network society, and digital civic engagement. His current project seeks to connect Electracy and/as Digital Rhetoric, via choragraphy and aesthetics using Apparatus Theory. Interests across research, teaching, scholarship, and consulting are varied: rhetorical theory, invention (heuretics), post-structuralism; media studies, theories of interface, platforms, mediation; aesthetic paradigms; digital culture, post-Internet art, glitch, meme culture, social media; post-Literate writing, public pedagogy, connected learning, mediated community engagement, EmerAgency; cultural rhetorics of craft beer/brewing; artisanal discourse and praxis.
